Full Review:
Excellent cruise, well organised. Flights on time, transfers handled well, although lots of forms to complete on arrival at the airport - so keep your pen and passport handy. The ship is quite old, but is kept in fantastic condition by the crew. Food excellent and drinks prices reasonable - £3.20 for a cocktail, £2.90 for a beer without all those silly gratuities and tax that other cruise lines add on. Our cabin was on deck 1 which was scarily close to the water! And under the dock on some ports of call! The ship was extremely friendly. On this cruise, the ports are not at all pretty, its all about the excursions. We did the Petra trip which was fabulous - however, if you are in any way unfit, or struggle with walking or breathing - DO NOT do this trip - its a hard walk - especially on the way back which is a 1 hour uphill drag - even for someone fit. I wouldn't bother with the trip to the 'luxury' hotel on the last port - its not my idea of luxury - and is still within sight of the grotty port. You could probably do snorkelling or scuba lessons though which would be better value for money. We didn't visit Cairo or Luxor so can't comment on these - other than they can be very long and tiring trips.
Cruise Positives:
The friendly staff and other passengers. Shows were brilliant. Weather excellent. Drinks prices low. You are allowed to stay on the ship until your transfer time (other ships kick you off by 8 am!).
Cruise Negatives:
Grotty ports (but you are visiting some brilliant places).
