Full Review:
We were slightly apprehensive when we booked this cruise, as we normally travel independently, spending time exploring the places we visit and have never considered cruising before. It was the chance to visit Petra in Jordan and the Pyramids in Egypt that attracted us,(something that is not easy or particularly safe to do independently) not the cruising part. However, we need not have worried, we had a fantastic time on the Celebration. It is a very happy, spotlessly clean ship with plenty of space for everyone. The choice and the quality of the food was excellent, particularly in the Lido Restaurant. The service was outstanding, all the staff and crew were superb, so friendly and hardworking, always happy and smiling, nothing was too much trouble for them. The entertainment in the Broadway Lounge was first class and all the performers were very professional. There was an excellent choice of excursions and they were very well organised - we thought that the welcome home party on the quayside after each excursion, with the crew member band playing and cabin stewards giving out hot towels, was a really nice touch. We had such a good time that we have now booked for the Pharaohs & the Promised Land cruise on Celebration in March 2011
Cruise Positives:
Excellent food. Superb service. Friendly, smiling, hardworking crew. A Captain with a lovely dry sense of humour. Professional and varied entertainment.
Cruise Negatives:
The en suite bathroom in the cabin was looking a little tired and worn but was perfectly acceptable.
