Full Review:
My husband and I travelled on the Celebration from Sharm el Sheik in April 2010. We were very fortunate that our trip was one of the first to be able to take place following the 'ash cloud' problems over the UK. We were very impressed with the way Thomson kept their web site up to date so we were able to track any changes to our holiday on a day to day basis. We were absolutely delighted with the whole holiday. The facilities were first class. The staff and crew were superb. The food was fabulous. In fact for a first cruise (admittedly with nothing to compare) we thought this trip was wonderful. We picked Thomsons in preference to larger ships on the recommendation of a friend, and the itinerary was just right for my husband who had always had a yearning to visit Petra, Pyramids, Ephesus etc. The next trip will be on the Nile from Luxor! Because of problems in Greece we had a change to the order of our itinerary, but it did not spoil our holiday. Everything was rearranged very smoothly and in fact we were able to visit the Acropolis on Sunday 2 May, which we could not have done if we had docked as originally planned on 1 May.
Cruise Positives:
Flights on time. Embarkation very easy. Cabin spacious and comfortable (Deluxe on Deck 8). Crew efficient and friendly. Service exceptional. Shows very professional. Entertainments staff, under the guidance of Keith, kept everything running along supe
Cruise Negatives:
Hard to think of anything. Although there was a 'sting in the tail' at Dalaman airport in Turkey. Warning, watch out for how much you have to pay for a cold/hot drink and snack. We were charge 38 TL for a coke, sprite and two small boxes of pringles, w
