We like Thomson Cruise ships.
We cruise because we like visiting new places and cruising is a wonderful way to do this. We like being looked after and eating good food - we get this on cruises |

Full Review:
This was our second time on the Celebration and our third time on a Thomson cruise.
We enjoyed this cruise immensely. Our cabin was very nicely appointed, having a double bed and a porthole. The cabin was spotlessly clean and the Cabin Steward, Dahny worked very hard and was always willing and cheerful.
The food was excellent in both the Lido and the Silver Service Restaurant.
Everything about the ship was good. We enjoyed the atmosphere, entertaiment, ballroom dancing. We enjoyed meeting the Hungarian musicians who play classical music on piano and violin again. We met them last year on the Celebration and the year before on the Spirit. They are very talented and it is a joy to listen to them.
We enjoyed the ports and places we visited. We particularly enjoyed seeing the pyramids which are awesome. However we thought the guide on this trip was rude and had poor people skills. David unfortunately lost his admission ticket to one of the museums and of course, the men on the gates could not let him in without a ticket. They asked me to ask the rep to come back and confirm that she had given him a ticket. This she flaty refused to do and was very rude. David did get into the museum as the people on the gate called a Thompson official over and they brought him another ticket and escorted us to our rep inside the museum. The guide did not acknowledge that we were with them and did not ask if everything was alright, which is the least one would expect. Apart from this we had no complaints about the tours - we particulary enjoyed the Holy Land which was very emotional and Istanbul a place we have always wanted to see.
The staff on the boat are without exception polite and willing.
The one down point was the hairdresser. I have long hair which I like to have put him in a pleat with some curls at the top. She was unable to do this, although she said she could and she really did not seem to know what she was doing half the time. The finished result was very poor - my husband commented that it would be OK if I had tried to do it myself but it was extremely poor for a professional hair do. - I spent sone time redoing it.
