The weather on this 2 week cruise was not ideal, cold, windy and rough seas. The cabins were noisy with constant scraping, grinding and banging. We had a cabin at the front of the ship. As both my husband and I were very seasick (this was very unusual) and the noise in the cabin was keeping us awake we asked for a move to a cabin midshipman. Even though over 1000 people left the hip after a week we could not be accommodated.
After 4 days on board people were becoming ill, apparently novovirus had been on the ship prior to our embarkation and became very widespread on our 1st week aboard. I requested a doctor early morning, but obviously due to so many people being ill I only received a phone call late in evening. No instructions were given to us and I was given rehydrates at my request. No wonder the ship didn't call into ports on itinerary. The ship was cleared and sanitised on the Friday before the new holidaymakers arrived and the people on board for a 2nd week were returned to the ship late Friday afternoon. A logistical miracle organising so many people in hotels waiting to board, considering it was done so quickly! A full week of our holiday was spoilt due to lack of sleep, seasickness and novovirus. The ship missed ports due to rough weather, or maybe the illness on board. Feel cheated that we were not told of sickness on board and no assistance given 're the noisy cabins. Not a brilliant experience and won't book a Thomson cruise again.

Cruise Positives:
The entertainment was excellent, with staff pulling together despite the virus affecting the team.

Cruise Negatives:
