we have just returned from our first cruise and found it a brilliant experience. The food was lovely and plentiful to say the least and the entertainment was top class.
The cabins ok they arent huge but they are very clean and perfectly adequatefor for the amount of time you spend in them the maid service is exellent.
Alot of people weretelling us that there are newer better ships (ok so in parts the destiny does look a little bit tired) but you will be paying alot more for them and I would imagine some of them would be a little bit stuffy.
All of the men at first were saying they werent looking forward to gala night but enjoyed it when it came to it.People were dressed nicely all week but it wasnt over dressy just nice and smart.
If I had a warning about anything is that the trips can be a bit of a rip off, most of the time you can get a train really easily for less than half the price. We sat with a couple who paid 119 pounds each for a trip to Rome with a meal in the vattican and they asked for their money back the meal was so poor.
We have been on lots of different holidays abroad but this was certainly one of the best ,the staff were so friendly and the service second to none .If you are booked on a thomson cruise rest assured you are going to have a terrific holiday.
